Review of Glenn Heights, Texas

Neighborhoods in Glenn Heights
Star Rating - 12/15/2006
After growing up in the South Dallas county, Glenn Heights only being approximately 8 miles from where I grew up, this small community has started to truly grow. The neighborhoods are nice and quiet, still having the feelings of a small country town. Although there are really no big businesses available for shopping, such as grocers, fast food, the neighboring cities, Red Oak (Ellis County) and DeSoto (Dallas County) do. Glenn Heights shares its zip code with Red Oak and is sometimes listed under Red Oak, but the town actually sits in 2 counties, Ellis and Dallas. And depending on the location of your home your children would attend schools in one or the other counties. If they are to attend schools is the Dallas county they will be going to school in the DeSoto ISD, if Elllis County they will be attending school in the Red Oak ISD. AS the city grows there is a need for the roads to be updated but we all know that it is coming soon. I highly recommend this area for that individual that is looking for that small town feeling yet knowing that the Big city life is really close by.
